The Simplicity Pattern Company has its headquarters in New York City, where it was founded in 1927. The executive management team, sales and marketing staff, and product design group are all based in 42,000 square feet of leased space in the New York City office.
In 1931, shortly after the Company was founded, the production and distribution operations were relocated to a facility in Niles, Michigan. The Niles facility, which has 740,000 square feet and is company owned, continues to be Simplicity's principal operating location for production, distribution, and administration areas including customer service, consumer relations, accounting, billing and credit, and information systems. The Company also leases warehouse and office space for wholly owned subsidiaries in Canada, England, and Australia that distribute our products in those markets and surrounding markets. Third party distributors in Mexico and South Africa service retail customers in those locations. Simplicity has approximately 310 employees on a world-wide basis. |
